In an effort to grow the participation of women in the sport of triathlon, I wanted to start an organization that provides financial resources to first-timers. My professional background is in aviation so starting a non-profit is outside my comfort zone, but if triathlon has taught me anything - it's that I'm capable of far more than I ever dreamed possible. I have been doing triathlon for 9 years and I hope to continue doing it forever. The sport has changed my life in the best way~

Now I am an advocate for women participating in triathlons. My mission is to introduce triathlons to every woman that has a desire to participate. By being able to pay for a first-timer's race registration, we remove one of the biggest barriers that stops women from pursuing that dream or "bucket list" item of competing in a triathlon.

After having my second child, I entered back into the triathlon world at Irongirl Columbia, an all women's race and it sparked a life long love for the sport. I remember being so incredibly nervous that race day, but the support of my family and the venue was incredible. I think all women should get to feel like rockstars crossing that finish line. I want to help other women realize their dreams of becoming triathletes. If we can help pay for a registration, they are one step closer to that finish line.

10 years ago, I signed up for my first (women’s only!) triathlon to motivate myself to improve my health and energy level. Finding a sport I enjoyed gave me motivation and confidence I had never felt before. To say this experience was life changing for me is an understatement.
I remember clearly how intimidating and overwhelming the sport could seem at times, but I also know how amazing the multisport community is, and how the sport impacts people’s lives in so many ways. As a competitive athlete, coach, and mom of two young girls, I am especially passionate about increasing female participation in multisport. I can’t wait to continue bringing more women to every start line with FHT!
